The castle of Montilla (Córdoba) hosts the presentation of the Somos Naturaleza Foundation (FSN), a non-profit organization that “aspires to be a driving force for change in healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyles”, as well as an “accelerating and energizing agent for sustainable social entrepreneurship”, as emphasized by its president, the Montilla businessman José Ríos Márquez.
During the launch of the entity, which was attended by the mayor of Montilla, Rafael Llamas, as well as representatives of social groups and associations, the head of the FSN has shown its willingness to “collaborate with those organizations dedicated to the development of projects in defense of nature and the environment,” as well as to promote initiatives to improve the quality of life or to encourage organic and sustainable products.
“This foundation was created because we want to promote entrepreneurial projects based on ethical values and socio-environmental commitment,” said José Ríos. Along with the creation of a School of Values for Entrepreneurs, FSN will seek to promote a “green entrepreneurship investment ecosystem” that “puts people and the environment at the center of all actions”.
José Ríos, who also chairs the Universal Social Foundation (FSU), defended the need to develop services for the exchange of skills and knowledge between people “to promote solidarity and dialogue based on and inspired by respect for nature and the environment”.
For her part, the director of the entity, Mercedes García de Vinuesa, invited volunteers to join in the programmed activities and to support FSN with their time and dedication. “We also want to organize and energize conferences, seminars, meetings, communication activities and any other events necessary for the fulfillment of our foundational purposes,” he added.
Finally, the mayor of Montilla, Rafael Llamas, praised the creation of a non-profit organization whose social work “will focus on improving our natural environment, as well as the living conditions of disadvantaged people and groups”.
