Rioma celebrates the recognition given to the Fundación Social Universal (FSU) in the seventh edition of the Andalucía + Social Awards, where it has been distinguished in the province of Córdoba for its trajectory and its work in favor of inclusion and equal opportunities. This award highlights the FSU’s dedication to improving the quality of life of children and youth, a task to which Rioma is firmly committed through its collaboration with high-impact social initiatives.
The Andalucía + Social Awards, granted by the Department of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality of the Regional Government of Andalusia, recognize each year the work of individuals, entities and groups that work in favor of social participation and inclusion in different areas. In this edition, the awards have covered thirteen main categories, in addition to a provincial award in each of the eight Andalusian provinces. Special value is placed on dedication in areas such as social protection, care for children and adolescents, the fight against gender violence, the inclusion of people with disabilities, volunteering or international cooperation for development, among others.
One of the most significant projects of the Fundación Social Universal is the Mamá Margarita Afternoon Home, an initiative that since 2011 has offered more than forty students from Montilla a safe space where they can receive school support, develop healthy habits and strengthen their emotional wellbeing. This program, promoted in coordination with the municipal Social Services, educational centers and families, not only provides academic reinforcement, but also guarantees accompaniment and care for minors in vulnerable situations, helping them to grow up in an environment that respects their rights and enhances their comprehensive development.
As a company committed to social welfare, Rioma collaborates with the FSU to contribute to the maintenance and growth of this type of initiatives, convinced that education and support for children are fundamental pillars for building a fairer and more egalitarian future. Through its involvement in this project and other social actions, Rioma reinforces its commitment to the community and the development of programs that generate a real positive impact on society.
The recognition of the FSU in the Andalucía + Social Awards is also a testimony to the value of collaboration between administrations, companies and social entities. In this sense, the joint work of institutions such as the City Council of Montilla, the Provincial Council of Cordoba, the Provincial Institute of Social Welfare, various private foundations and companies such as Rioma, demonstrates that joint efforts can translate into real opportunities for those most in need.
From Rioma, we congratulate Fundación Social Universal for this well-deserved recognition and reaffirm our willingness to continue supporting initiatives that contribute to building a more equitable and inclusive society.
